The Narrow Path to Eternal Life

Your state must be a very narrow cross, on which you must be nailed, and not a broad path made spacious and comfortable through privileges and interpretations, which make it rather easy and convenient than secure and perfect.

This is the error of the children of Babylon and of Adam, who try to find in their various states some easing of the law of God, and who bargain with the salvation of their souls in order to buy heaven at a very cheap price, or to risk losing it if they must pay the cost of conforming themselves to the rigor of the divine law and its precepts.

Hence it is that they seek doctrines and opinions that broaden the paths to eternal life, without reflecting that my most holy Son taught them that these paths are very narrow, and that He followed no other, so that no one might imagine being able to reach eternal happiness by broader paths suited to inclinations depraved by sin.
